Established by Fr. Larry on October 24, 2016, the Pastoral Council helps foster the pastoral activity of the parish (Canon 536).
About the Council
Why a Council
Pastors establish Pastoral Councils because they seek practical advice on pastoral matters and believe God’s Spirit speaks through their people. No outside expert can judge what is best for a particular parish — a council offers what no expert can: a judgment about what is right for this parish.
What Members Do
Members investigate pastoral matters and reflect on them thoroughly to draw sound conclusions — studying the pastoral situation so the parish sees it more clearly, and contributing to the well-being of the Church. The Council meets quarterly.
Members: Gus & Claudia Mungaray (Chair) · Carol Garcia · Wayne Grant · Carlos & Maricela Funes. Distinct from the Finance Council (Canon 537), which aids the Pastor in administering parish goods.
