Funeral Preparation Services

Funeral Preparation Services
at Saint Mariana de Paredes Church

We understand that the loss of a loved one is a deeply emotional and challenging time. At Saint Mariana de Paredes Church, we are here to provide support and guidance to help you honor the memory of your loved one in a meaningful way.

Arranging Funeral Services: In most cases, the mortuary representative will contact the Parish Office to make funeral arrangements. Funeral services can be tailored to your family’s preferences and may include a vigil service (rosary), Mass, and a graveside service. Our church facilities are available for the vigil service based on date availability. Registered parishioners may also reserve the Hall for a memorial reception, subject to availability.

Memorial Masses: For those seeking to commemorate the anniversary of a loved one’s passing or another significant date, such as a birthday, we offer Memorial Masses. These Masses can be scheduled based on the availability of our priest. Please contact the Parish Office to schedule a Memorial Mass.

Liturgical Rites: Saint Mariana de Paredes Church adheres to the liturgical guidelines set forth by the Church. The Order of Christian Funerals (OCF) in its 1989 edition, and El Ritual de las Exequias Cristianas in its 2001 edition for Spanish, are the canonically approved liturgical rites for funerals. These rites provide a meaningful and reverent way to celebrate the life of the departed and offer comfort to the grieving family.

The Church’s ministry to the deceased and their families is rooted in the belief that death is not the end, and the bonds formed in life endure. We are here to intercede on behalf of your loved one and console the grieving through the comforting word of God and the sacrament of the Eucharist.

For more information or to arrange funeral services, please contact the Parish Office, and our dedicated secretaries will assist you during this difficult time. We extend our prayers and support to you and your family as you navigate this journey of remembrance and faith.
